It has been some time since this last occurred, but it seems that the WGTour site is having some problems. We are yet to know for how long, but while you wait we have a message from them to you.
The WGTour site has been down for a while now, as some of you might have noticed. With the clan league and other events going on they really need to fix it as soon as possible. Brendan "Bman" Thurbon from WGTour had something he, on behalf of the WGTour staff, wanted to share with all of you:
"The staff at WGTour.com wish to apologise for the current situation with the website. We would like to however dispel rumours that we have been hacked or been the target of some form of malicious attack. Our Hard Drive on the server is currently full, when the site was restarted last Sunday to assist with WGTour Clan League the hard drive was not touched and it was known that the site would again go down. Over the past few days we have been examining ways to solve this problem while we wait for our new server. We will be doing everything possible to have the site fully operational for Sunday to make sure the Clan League runs smoothly. Should the site not be operational for Sunday we will be delaying it 1 week. This is due to the fact we could not confirm gamers are on their teams WGT-CL roster. All nation war matches scheduled must also be rescheduled as to prevent issues such as “Country A used a player who wasn’t in their roster”. We apologise for the inconvenience."
Hopefully we will see the site back up soon, maybe with a new season of the ladder starting?
