Peter "Legionnaire" Neate, displaying great skill on the last WCG by finishing third seems to get knocked out early on this one. He lost to both Korporal and thuoclao in the first two rounds, and will have to hope for a miracle to get through the first stage.
However, it might not have been unexpected for Peter himself. He said before the games that he didn't have much time to study due to going to University. The group has become completely unpredictable, as only iloveoov seems to be assured of a spot in the playoffs. Will group A get a surprise for 2nd place, or will Lamer or Legionnaire still make it to the top?
He told GosuGamers yesterday that he does not really had any special strategies.
- I'm just going to try with some of the strategies I did last year, he says and laughs. It worked out alright last year, but it seems that he is a bit too out of shape. Legionnaire will have to face off against the Bulgarian player Lamer. Will he be able to get his first win of the tourney? Time will tell.
GosuGamers grabbed hold of Legionnaire after his three losses in Group A, and he said that he was of course disappointed.
- I wasn't really expecting to do as well as last year but it was pretty disappointing to lose so early in the first three rounds.
He further says that if he manages to beat iloveoov he will be satisfied anyhow. And asking on what he thought of the outcome on the remaining games, he was not too positive.
- I might win another game or two, but that's about it, he says and smiles.
