The F2F showmatch has been created back in 2004, by a Spaniard called Ozmita. Since then, most of the best non-Korean have competed in this showmatch like iNcontroL and SquaLL, who have just played a new exhibition, now hosted by GosuGamers.

Both ToT)iNcontroL( and LRM)SquaLL (picture) have been invited to the Sandlot tournament. Both are in the top30 of the GG.net rankings, and both are Zerg players.
Even though those 2 players have very similar profiles, SquaLL, who is currently owning in the MeetYourMakers.com Master of The Races was the clear favourite of this showmatch with 62% the votes. Unfortunately for those betters, they were wrong, since iNcontroL won three of the five games:

iNcontroL < SquaLL @ Luna The Final 0-1
iNcontroL > SquaLL @ Estrella 1-1
iNcontroL > SquaLL @ Gaia 2-1
iNcontroL > SquaLL @ R-Point 3-1
iNcontroL < SquaLL @ Rush Hour 3-2

The ToT player iNcontroL (picture) has proved us that he deserved to be one of the first thirteen players who have been invited to the Blizzard Sandlot tournament until now. His true ZvZ skill has enabled him to beat on of the hottest non-Korean players at the moment, and thus will be a great advantage for the Sandlot team that will be able to buy him.

Here is the interview that the showmatch organizer Ozmita had with iNcontroL:
Ozmita: Hello Geoff! You have just beaten one of the best ZvZ's outside Korea, considered by some people. How do you feel?

iNcontroL: It feels great, he had just beaten me in a tourney / league on west 2-1. Hes been an opponent i have played alot over the years and i think he is pretty amazing zvz.

What league did he beat you on before?
Well i was trying to remember, i think it was a league that a player named Shyne puts on, Shaman actually has won it like 3 seasons running. With some top koreans / non koreans. Lots of fun

What was the toughest game for you?
Probably game 1, it was an intense ZvZ on Luna where the advantage switched back and forth alot. We both went low econ heavy harrass and it came down to a few micro battles for who would win, as he ended up the better player in the game.

Most of games had an intense Zergling battle. Why did you both decided to choose random on Game 2, played on Estrella?
Neither of us are probably all that keen on ZvZ island style.. also we both felt if one went Z and the other got P or T the non z had the advantage. Both of us were thinking the same thing without knowing that was what was going on! haha So it ended up being RvR.
I got Z he got P and his lack of experience with P let alone on islands, gave me the advantage to eventually win.

I have to admit that game was too exciting. Let's talk about your future plans regarding WCG. Are you going to train?
Well my WCG has already passed, i was gravely disapointed in the organization / style. All online is really lame with even lamer support for q's to be answered etc.. anyways, i hate how i end up always having an exscuse so i try and avoid it. I am not going this year, but if they have a LAN or a more smoothly organized online event next year i would certainly train / do my best.
The one year i did take WCG serious i had an absolute blast, i wish they would do it again.

Is it a problem for you to make the WCG Prelims through the Internet?
Yeah, my cpu is set up at my friends house because their internet is better than my house's (im home from college) and this house is alot safer for my cpu hah. Anyways, i dont get to get here all the time and play a online WCG cause i work 8 hours a day / girl friend etc etc..

I hope you have better luck with next year's World Cyber Games. I'd really want to see you playing there.
Face2Face's event has come back. There has been some "standby" time, but it has finally rebirth! Would you like to play on some other F2F Showmatch?

I would love to, you guys run a very well organized and positive show match. Has always been fun, id love to face another awsome opponent!

Thank you very much for this short interview, Geoff! I wish you my best luck on your real life!
