Lan-Z Championship is ready to happen. They have the nearly complete list of invited and non-invited players. This is the biggest thing happening for Starcraft in South America this year. In total their cash prizes mount up to 75,000 USD. Blizzcon is kicking it up in the northern hemisphere; Lan-Z will be partying in the southern one. We will be covering both.



Prize Distribution

1° US$ 2.5002° US$ 1.0003° US$ 5004° US$ 4005° US$ 3006-8°US$ 100This will be, as mentioned, a large scale e-Gaming event. Chile, one of the most internet connected nations in South America, will be the hosting country. The event will include the CPL World Tour, Painkiller 1v1, and the Lan-Z Championship 2005 for Counterstrike, Warcraft and oddly enough for Starcraft, thanks in great part to Claudio Mister-X Barahona. They will be handing out a total of 75,000 US$ in prize money, making it the Americas’ biggest Cash Prize event so far in e-Gaming this year.

Format & Schedule



First phase: Friday 28 of October at the 20:00
Bracket of double elimination with matches Bo1. The number of players who will classify to second phase is not definite yet; we estimate a number greater than ten.

Second phase: Saturday 29 of October at 9:30
The invited players and the classified player of the first phase will form 8 groups of 4 players. The top two of each group will advance to the third phase. All group games are Bo3.

Third phase: Saturday 29 of October at 19:30
Bracket of double elimination with 16 players. Winner Bracket Bo3 and Loser Bracket Bo1.
