Since first news of the The Great Canadian Challenge on »PGTour.net many Canadians have shown that they want to also participate and have a chance at showing what they can do. With only one spot left on the tournament's players list, it will be given to the winner of the GCC (Great Canadian Challenge) Open Tournament. This tournament will be held on Friday Feburary 10th 2006 @ 7PM EST (4AM PST).
The Great Canadian Challenge itself will be a tournament held over 4 weeks slowly coming to the finals where the final two will have to play their last Best of 9 games. The rules are simple, you have to be Canadian, single elimination, best of 9, and you will be taken out of the tournament if you lose four straight games in a row.
The invited players list is now complete and it looks like this:
