Medievaldragon, owner of Blizzplanet.com and editor here at Gosugamers.net is organizing a new Q & A. This time his target will be Aaron Rosenberg, current writer of Starcraft: Queen of Blades. In the StarCraft storyline Nova is set before Broodwar and pretty much contemporary with Liberty's Crusade.
Where will Queen of Blades fit in the grand scheme of the growing StarCraft history? There is only one Queen of Blades that we know of, and she is our mutated and infested Kerrigan after she was assimilated into the hive. The book itself is planned for publishing and sale sometime in May 2006. Medievaldragon has started some of his usual pondering that almost invariably turns into truth sooner or later. We checked for any new Blizzard patents, but none so far. Nevertheless let me quote him word for word since he has been right too many times.
What strikes as odd is that we were told Infested Kerrigan had no place in the Console game -- however, after Nihilistic left the project, I have heard through interviews that most of the game was redone from scratch by Swingin' Ape Studios -- now acquired as Blizzard Console Game department. Could it be that the storyline was changed now and Infested Kerrigan has a role in the console game? Or ... are we looming into a possible Starcraft 2 announcement? Will this Queen of Blades book set a milestone storywise as a prequel to Nova or ... to Starcraft 2's storyline?
Kerrigan: Queen of Blades
The reasoning is solid. All games start with a storyline, then comes the art and then comes the code. This is how Blizzard operates. They are masters when it comes to preparing the ground long with anticipation and secrecy, yes why not say it - masters at grass root marketing.
There will be a Q&A that will focus a little deeper into this new book hopefully sometime this month. We will keep us updated and announce the exact day, time and time-zone for the Fansites Q&A with Aaron Rosenberg. This means anyone one can actually show up and ask the author questions himself. Who me? Yes you: any Gosugamers.net reader is welcome. This will be a fan site event.
Other sites involved: WowVault (IGN), PGTour, SCLegacy, Starcraft.org, GamersHell, Broodwar.de, PCGames.de, Judgehype and of course Gosugamers.net.

Queen of Blades, a new book probably set in the original StarCraft time-line might hint on things to come? Maybe there is more to just the book. We will apparently get a chance to ask the author himself: Aaron Rosenberg. Let us see how well Blizzzard has trained him.
