After a few months off, WGTour is ready to kickstart their season Monday, December 12th at 23:59 CET (17:59 EST)! A lot of changes have occured there, especially with the launcher. The launcher, created by Ilintar, now provides a hack free environment without leaving Battle.net!

Before you can play WGTour, you need to download the launcher >here<, created by Ilintar. No more manually uploading your replays. No more anything! The launcher does everything for you. Playing a 2v2? Just ally your partner and the launcher will know who is on whos team.

The biggest change once you're on the launcher are the game name and the map name. When making a game, it must start with "WGT". If you normally make the game name "asdf", the new name is "WGTasdf". As well as this, only WGT Season 13 maps can be used. Download those maps >here<. Pro maps from MBC and OGN will be added later as WGTour is in talks with them.

At the end of the season, the finals for both 1v1 and 2v2 have changed. In 1v1, the top 32 advance in a double elimination tournament. The winners bracket is best of 3, the loser bracket best of 1, and the grand finals best of 5. In the 2v2 finals, the top 16 choose a partner. If the partner is in the top 16, then #17 chooses and so on. The style of the tournament follows the 1v1 finals.

The site has gone under a lot of work as new webmasters have been added. A toolbar, vital for the hardcore StarCraft gamer, is available created by Stormer making surfing around WGTour easy. As well as that, you're able to visit different webpages as well as replay sites, all with two clicks of the mouse. Want to see of any future events or search the news? Insane has made these two new functions on the front page of WGTour. Last but not least but Timan has been rescripting the entire site which should be launched in the near future.
