[s]event[/s]
Last week the Battle of the Balkans was completed. Two nations fought to see who would hold the title as the Balkan's best while another two fought to see who would be considered the 2nd runner-up in the event. Romania faced off versus Bulgaria for the title while Greece and Turkey faced off for 2nd runner-up.
The Romanian and Bulgarian battle was as close and suspenseful as you would want a final to be. There was no apparent blowout as the battle ended with a one win deficit.

After the Romanians took the smell of the BoB trophy away from the Bulgarians it was time for Greece to try to get that winning groove back within them. They took on the Turks who are formable opponents, but they did get crushed by ToT)Mondragon(, didn't they?

Greece got what they wanted as they completely dominated the Turkish players. As there was no real reason to finish the battle the 2on2 gamers were never played as they wouldn't have mattered anyways, Greece still would win even if the Turks came back and won both 2on2 games.
The Battle of the Balkans was conceived and organized by a Greek nationalist, Bartar-AFM-. This event could spark another war, but a friendlier one this time around. Maybe some LANs and other events will come soon, who really knows what the future holds for these nations of the Balkan Peninsula.

BW4Ever has been the home for a special event which involved the nations of the Balkan Peninsula. That southern Europe area holds many unknown skilled gamers and only some have realized the power of this powder keg.
