As WCG is coming closer and closer GosuGamers takes the temperature of the players going.
Odin[SomE] has been interviewed!
The Brazilian Terran player Odin[SomE] managed to do what most Starcraft player only dream of. He managed to qualify himself to the World Cyber Games grand finals that are held in Singapore this year. He also recenty won the first place at Lan-z. Below is an interview with the WCG Brazil runner-up!
Hi Odin, congratulations on your participation at the WCG Finals in Singapore. Please, introduce yourself. Name, age and where you live.
Roger Kendi Gimenes Ono, 19 years old. I live in Bauru-SP, Brasil, my main race is Terran.
How do you feel now when you are qualified to Singapore?
I am so happy, I did my best and I got the result, it is so delightful to me.
What do you think about the World Cyber Games in general and about your games to get there?
WCG is a tourney which is known by all gamers. I think there is not very much to say about it. About the games in the WCG qualifications it was very difficult. I faced players like Master and Hellghost in the winner brackets and won both 2-1. In the final I lost to Reason. I tought that he wasn’t going to get to the finals, so I didn’t practise much vs. Zerg and I lost. :)
Hmm, I saw the games were very good and even. How come you played Potoss against Hellghost?
I have always been unsure about whether to play Terran vs. Terran or Protoss vs. Terran on the other WCG. My TvT has always been very inconstant. How I chose to play PvT was pretty easy… That was the match up I decided to practise for this WCG.
Odin what do you expect from Singapore? What you think that you can do there?
I hope I can represent my country good… I think that if I continue training I canplace myself good there.
Good Odin, congrats for you qualifying to Singapore and thank you for doing this interview. Good Luck in the finals. Want to say something to anyone?
Love you Lita! ^_^ And I would like to thank HG and Fayth for training with me before WCG. :) And say thanks to all Brazilians, especially to Master and Ozzy, hehe. ;]
