The Russian Starcraft community is not always very easy to get news from. We western Europeans and Americans e.t.c. usually just hear from it once in a while. Now a great event has been held. ASUS Spring 2005: Starcraft: BW TOP16 is a tournament with the top16 players from the Russian speaking community.

Playsers like Androide, Advokate and yAn were invited to fight for the total prize sum of 20 000 rubels. The players were divided into four groups.

The group phase didn't exactly work like groups. I'll take group A as example. White.Ra played creAtiv and NonStop played Antonio. The winners from those matches played each other in a fight about who was going to be placed #1 and #2. The two losers from the first matches played each other for a placing match. Same thing happened in all of the groups.
