What does it take to reach the Ultimate Rank on PGTour.net? Skill, practice, endurance, and 16000 ladder points. Sea.Starry is the first ever player on PGTour to reach the Ultimate rank . So far he has played over 200 matches since the start of Season 2, his current record: 151-48-3. This gives him a 74.75% win ratio which is only the 3rd highest win ratio in the top 25, the first being pepeoot with 81.46% who is currently ranked 2nd place on the ladder.
Now that the PGTour Season 2 is close to an end with only 10 days left in the season, we can see that the Korean players have exercised true dominance over the Ladder, with only a few non-Koreans in the high ranks. This will most definitely make for an interesting ISL Season 2 with very skilled players. But most of these names are no doubt smurfs of great Pro-gamers, but who could they possibly be? Even Legionnaire himself was able to get away under the smurf name of Gold and when they took a quick poll on PGT on who would win the ISL, only 4% had voted for Gold not knowing who he really was, while the other players got almost an even 43% each.
So who could these mystery Korean players be? Some say that Sea.Starry is none other than NaDa, no one is sure but one thing is for sure, Pro-gamers do roam the realm of PGTour and are at the forefront of all the battles on B.Net-X. With only 10 more days to go, would another Ultimate Rank surface or will only one be crowned the Ultimate Player on PGT this season? You can only keep watching and waiting, because among all the new masses of A ranked players, one player might step up to the challenge.
So to give you all a glimpse of what the players from Korea have to face from around the world, here are the top 10 NON-KOREANS ranked on PGTour (as of April 19th 2005 6:00PM EST).
