BREAKING NEWS FROM BATTLE.NET

A shocking official statement from Blizzard Entertainment just recently hit their front page. The well-known company have now decided to add a connection cost in WarCraft 3, Diablo 2, StarCraft and WarCraft 2's Battle.Net support. This is mainly because of the overflow of players in their new MMORPG World of WarCraft that requires better servers.

When Blizzard Entertainment released their game World of WarCraft many StarCraft players feared for it to be the downfall for StarCraft. Even during the development of World of WarCraft the StarCraft players cursed Blizzard for putting more work on WoW than on bug fixes and new patches for StarCraft. A couple of months ago Blizzard did release a new patch for StarCraft - 1.12 to show that they still cared for the game.

Connection fee to buy new servers

Now, for a bit over four months of intense World of WarCraft-gaming on the Battle.Net servers, the WarCraft 3, StarCraft, WarCraft 2 and Diablo 2 Battle.Net connections have been very low, especially on the U.S East gateway. To get things back on track with the same lagfree servers as before the datatransfer-sucking game World of WarCraft, a connection fee will now be needed for the four previous mentioned games. This money will go back to the community, by buying newer and better servers.

Game cards working in 60 days

Just as in World of WarCraft, you will now have to buy special game cards in different stores both online and offline to be able to play. When buying this card and putting in the certain verification code on it, you will be able to play the games for 60 days. You can also pay your fee with a credit card. A game card will cost ~25 €, depending on where you live. More information about this will come later today about how it will work and so on. For now there is only the official statement on Battle.Net.
