The scoring system in OGCL works like the following.
Per matchday will be 2 players from the same group competing with each other. Two maps will be played. If a match ends with 2-0, the winner will get 3 points, but if the match will end 1-1, both players will get 1 point.
A1 vs. B4
A2 vs. B3
A3 vs. B2
A4 vs. B1As you understand, the matches are best out of 2 ones. If someone wins two games he will get 3 points, but if the score is 1-1 they will get a point each. When all matches are played the four top players from each group advances to the next round. In that round the players will face each other like this.
Winner of group A vs 4th player in group B, and so on.

You played against Fayth, tell me about the match.
Well, first game was at Hawkeye, was a bullshit game really, I just made 3 expands with my first 3 hatches, went straight for dual ling grades and hive, because that map is just a macro map. Anyway, he made corsairs, I got 3 spores, got hydra's, took half of the map and the middle expand which has tons of minerals. Basically I overmacroed him and ended up with 10k minerals or so.
Second game on Broken Tradition I countered his fast robo build, he cancelled his citadel so he wanted to catch me offguard, but I predicted it, so I went muta and he left after his 2 goon on my cliff and his reaverdrop died. Kinda boring games.
What do you think about the map pool for the league?
I guess it's ok, some maps are balanced, some maps are not, but at least it's nothing out of the extroardinary, and they've picked some interesting maps that aren't used everywhere.
What do you think about this kind of league, where the top non Korean players are gathered?
I think it's a nice initiative, and with a money prize it's always cool to play in it. Not that I think I have high chances of getting anything out of it, but it always brings up a little bit more suspense which hightens the quality of the tournament. A money prize also interests more good players I guess, and everyone greedily accepted when they got invited. People who host these kind of tournaments are really great people who devote themselves to the community, which is a great thing to do for this 6 year old game. It really keeps it alive.
