I recently sat down with Schnibl0r, after he won the TANL finals 4-3 against Draco. Schnibl0r is a pretty underrated Zerg player from Germany. He was definitely the underdog in matchup, based on GosuBet.
In the groupstage, Schnibl0r went 2-1 against Mondragon, 2-1 against Avernum and 2-1 against Draco, also defeating Draco on Estrella. In the interview, we talk about his various strategies, beer, and of course... the TANL.
Oxy: Congratulations on winning the TANL finals. Please introduce yourself. Name/age, anything else you'd like to add.
Schnibl0r: Hi, my name is Simon Münz. I am 18years old and I live in Germany. And, thanks ;D
Oxy: You're currently attending the equal of highschool in the US? What's it called in Germany?
Schnibl0r: In Germany it is called Gymnasium and I am in the 11th grade. Soon 12th ;)
Oxy: :] Do you still have school? You had school during the TANL groupstage, I think?
Schnibl0r: Yes, as I said I am in the 11th grade out of 13. When the groupstage was held I had my last "real" week in school since I wrote my last tests there.
Oxy: Aha. sucker, I had finished school like 2 weeks before that :] So, this is your second time participating in the TANL. Please tell everyone that you did this out of your own free will and that this is a good tourney, and that are not being told to say that. *points gun to your head*
Schnibl0r: So since Oxy force me to say it , TANL is a nice tournament with some prizes which motivates even the gosus. I hope there will be another one soon.
Oxy: You are invited :]
Schnibl0r: Thanks.
Oxy: Which part of the tournament was hardest for you? The group phase, the tournament or the finals?
Schnibl0r: Hm, hard to say. I think the groups phase was very hard but I feared draco the most in the finals and I was very excited.
Oxy: Did you think you would win the finals? They were very close, indeed, with a single game as a tiebreaker
Schnibl0r: Hm everything can happen so why not ;) anways I almost didn't expect it, but today I probably had the better day and so I won.
