The last games of the Ever OSL 2009 Ro8 matches occurred on the 25th with some very nice matches by the competitors. There are now only four players remaining to claim the title.
Clearly the most hyped up matchup would have to belong to the Jaedong vs. Flash match. Flash’s TvZ as of late has been dominating the Starcraft scene. Jaedong himself needs no introduction as he has literally been in the Starcraft spotlight for a while now. Sadly for Jaedong, his OSL title run comes to an end, as Flash displayed amazing map control on Fighting Spirit and finished Jaedong off with a bunker on the map New Heart Break Ridge.
In Match B Calm took on Pure, and although Calm has been playing rather poorly the past month he did manage to defeat Pure 2-0 with some nice muta/scourge combo in both sets.
Match C involved ZerO vs. Movie. Although ZerO played really well with fantastic results in the Proleague, and to get to the quarterfinals of this OSL, he was no match for Movie after Movie took map dominance on the map Eye of the Storm, resulting in a 2-0 victory for Movie.
One of the more surprising results of this OSL would have to be Match D. Here we saw Stork play against Shine, and Shine obliterating Stork in the first game with mass mutalisks. After yesterdays games, Stork was able to win the second set but lose to Shine in the third set. All in all a 2-1 match to Shine.
Overall, the quarterfinals of the OSL are finished, Flash, Calm, Movie and Shine will be moving on to the Ro4 which will played on January 8, 2010
