By now you probably know that Ret lost in the second round of Courage, a Korean tournament where one can win himself a Progamer license. We caught up with Ret for a quick interview on his Courage experience:

GosuGamers: Hello. Terribly sorry for your Courage loss, I was really pulling for you, how about a few quick comments for GG.net?

Ret: Sure.

GosuGamers: Let's start with a big one: How was it in general?

Pretty much as expected. We've all seen Nony's courage video. It's just a lot of young Koreans and a lot of computers, some of the more badass users sport the Keyboard bags from the Progaming teams meaning they are already on a pro team but just don't have a license yet. For me personally it was rather disappointing since I got a free win on the first round, then 2 minutes to warm up, then had to play a
practice partner from Woonjing Stars (i think) and lost in pretty disappointing games.

GosuGamers: Okay, now for an honest question. The guy you lost to is now in the finals, there’s a good chance he will win the license, do you honestly think you could've beaten him, judging skill-wise?

Hmm. well.. I think I'm pretty close to being able to beat him.. I can certainly take games off him. But the fact that you have to setup on a different desk, smaller monitor (17 inch compared to 19 inch) just makes me not play as good as with a setup I am used to. At the moment though, he is probably just a slight bit better than me, and more consistent.

I've beaten players at his level countless times. The first game I pretty much won, but messed it up by missing Dropships, which happens to me so often in ZvT. So it's pretty disappointing to lose. Every time I lose at something offline I feel like a total failure. Because I spend so much time on this game and then unable to bring it to the table when it matters...it's really frustrating.

GosuGamers: Do you know when the next courage is going to be happening and how much alcohol will it take to forget about this one?

lol..next courage is most likely in roughly another month..could vary a little bit. No alcohol for me, my remedy for my wounds will be iCCup games. I definitely want to be in the best shape I've ever been when I try again. Even though I've been in Korea for a while, I've only had roughly 8 playing days in the eSTRO house, with a month of doing barely any SC in between. So I believe after a few weeks of solid playing I should be able to do better.

Go0g3n:Huge thanks to you mate, please do me a small favor and win TSL. (also knock IdrA from 1st place)

Ret: Hehe.

That concludes our interview with Ret. Whenever pictures, videos or replays of the event pop up, we will bring them to you.
