The oldest Brood War Clan League around is starting soon but this time with some delay as due to ESL hosting their Qualification Cups for the ESL Major Series Season 5.
Other news is that BWCL Cup that is also very popular amongst StarCraft: Brood War players will interfere with regular Season 34 so many games will need to be postponed. Also take notice that the first playday will be the 1st of November and the King of Kings Tournament will take place on the 31st of October.
All in all we hope that new Season 34 of this great league that has been holding our community together for so long will continue smooth as always. We also wish good luck to new clans that joined BWCL and are starting their journey in one of 4th league.

Hey everybody,
The important details first: The start of the 34th Season of our beloved BWCL will be delayed a week. This means the new season will start on Sunday, 8th of November 2009.
We apologize for this delay.
There are multiple reasons for the delay:
- the ESL hosting their 5th Qulification Cup for the ESL-Major-Series
- the IEF 2009, which will also take place this weekend
- the server change of the Ingame Network this weekend
- technical difficulties with the mappack as well as inactive clans
- our staff beeing busy with moving to foreign countries, working and studies
To be able to guarantee a smooth start of the new season, the start will be delayed.
Instead of the new season starting, relegation will take place this Sunday at 19:00. You will be informed in a seperate news later tonight as well as via Email.
We once again apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Relegation will be played this sunday, 1st of November at 19:00 cet.
The actual season will begin 1 week later, at the 8th of November.
So let's get to buisness. Since norwegen Get#2 can not ascend to league 1, we have one open slot in the first division. The clans that placed 3rd in league 2a and 2b will compete for this slot and. This means we will have two russian clans facing off:
Game A: russland Fellowship of starcraft vs russland International Federation of Untouchables
The winner will ascend to league 1.
Due to dead clans in league 1, we have two open slots in BWCL-2 next season. Once again the clans that placed third in their divisions will compete for a slot in the upper league. The games will be the following:
Game B: italien E-Razers eSports vs deutschland New Influence of the Crack Elite
Game C: europa Northern-Darkness.com vs welt Vengeance Starts Tomorrow
The winners of Game B and C will ascend to league 2.
All matches will be played on 1st of November at 19:00 cet. The channel is bwcl-rele on iccup.
