It's been a bit of a quiet month in StarCraft world, with the exception of WCG nothing interesting at all is showing on the radar. A couple of quick news came from Korea earlier today, so here's a roundup.
We'll kick off with news about KT[F]. As you know the team had to change it's name again, turned to community for suggestions, and "masses" came up with Rolster, which apparently has something to do with Roller-coasters or drink coasters. KT released a new logo:
Second piece of news, is that Proleague format will undergo minor changes. Certain members of the board, as well as players wanted to decrease the amount of play-days per week from 5 to 4, prividing additional rest to players, at the same time adding extra games to regular matches, changing the format from Bo5 to Bo7.
That proposition failed miserably, as Shinhan Bank, the main sponsor of the event, refused to give up a whole day of profitable StarCraft television broadcasts. Another rejected idea was to split the season in two parts, giving players sort of a vacation break in-between.
The only thing that was signed into action was to increase the number of Bo7 series in playoffs from 2 to 3, and limit Grand Finale to a single Bo7 match.
