[s]starcraft[/s]Where do most Chinese play? Battle.Net? Yes, some play there but not many. Once the vast majority played in unofficial Battle.Net servers, like Stargate, but after Blizzard’s crack down on these, most private BNs in China vanished. They still exist though and an unknown number of player still play on them. Many play in LAN environments and computer PC rooms.

Where do they meet online? A place called Game Client!
What is a game client? Game client is a program that allows you to connect to a central server and enter into a 'room', and the server assigns a LAN IP to each client in one 'room'. After that, people in the same room can play an IPX mode game, which is far from the reach of Blizzard's power and control.
The most famous Game Client is provided by » CGA.com.cn
There used to be others at one point but they all lost in the competition for users. One of these, less famous, is Hu Lian Xing Kong, or in English,
» China Interactive Game Center also known as CNgame
Game Client serves many games such as War3, CS, AOE, Red Alert, etc. and of course, Starcraft. By Starcraft I mean as much Vanilla gamers as Broodwar gamers. Recently the total number of players there has been consistently above 300,000. This is roughly how many gamers you will see in the whole of Battle.net. And this is only one small game client.
The majority are CS players, believe it or not! The second most numerous group are TFT players, the third is Starcraft players. As I am typing these words, there are 21,401 gamers currently playing Starcraft! In Starcraft section of the Game Client, there are about 100 rooms, each room can contain 150 players at most.
As for the game level there, I think many levels are available, but one thing is the same everywhere: they all love starcraft. If you want play in China with these Chinese players, you may try here:
