[s]wgt[/s]Since its very beginning, Blizzard has offered a tool for the community to defend itself against hack users and hack programs. This tool is an e-mail address: , were you can report sites offering hacks or replays with proof of hacking. It needs to be used more often, regardless the feedback from Blizzard. They use the information and often act upon it.
The band of untouchables at WGTour has acted again. ErkenBrand,
Troku[tC], Etna(GN), Revolve, aa~master, zLx,
CaX_Away, _suffer_ are members of The Cheater Section Team from WGTour. It is their never ending task to purge their brethren from those who make the wrong choice and decide to cheat. I do not envy their task, it's a non-stop pointless waste of time that only rewards them with insults and hatred from those, to whom they had to wield the axe of justice.
I know exactly what they go through every time they have to ban someone from WGTour. They have come up with a new list of cheaters that you can check here » Hack List 9-15-04. In it you will find many repeat offenders and many high rank gamers as usual. Nothing special in this batch of cheaters.
If you see a friend in this list please by all means talk to him/her and try to convert him/her to honest gaming otherwise cheaters will just keep cheating. I would like to give The Cheater Section Team a simple suggestion that will perhaps make their jobs a little easier. On those cheaters that you have proof of hack using in a replay and on the repeat offenders, please submit them to .
Blizzard at times will act upon such tips, especially if the tip is from a recurrently reliable source. I also ask all our readers to report every single site you have seen offering Hack programs. Take 10 minutes, find a few and send them to . The only way we can improve our community is if we actively participate.
Blizzard two days ago recently banned from ladder play about 1000 Warcraft III accounts permanently after a week long server maintenance in all their servers. I suspect Starcraft bans will soon follow.
Let me quote Battle.net.Much of Battle.net's success has been rooted in the strength of its community. We encourage players not to use cheats and hacks on Battle.net. Also, if you know of a webpage developing or hosting hacks, please let us know via . We believe that through our ongoing efforts to eliminate cheating combined with the Battle.net community taking a zero-tolerance stance, we can minimize the effects of cheating on Battle.net now and in the future.Does it make a difference? In numbers, you bet! It is also a clear way of showing Blizzard that our community is far from dead. I know how many of you feel about this all being a waste of time because I myself have felt the same way, but trust me, in numbers it makes a difference.
