So tell us, how did you end up in the offline playoffs?
- I was 4th on the online qualifications, but SunCow couldn't play so I qualified as a 4th place.
How come you were not in the top3 from the beginning then?
- I didn't practise a lot ;>.. I thought that the form which I had will be enough (1st day of eliminations I played all games 5 drone rush). And it wasn't so bad... I lost in winner bracket to SunCow 1:2 and then in the loser bracket to paranoid. I wasn't in the best shape of my life so I was 4th.. I was a bit disappointed but I knew I would train hard for double eliminations, but I'm sure I would have qualified anyway in the next preliminary.

vs. 9-8 (52 %)
vs. 8-10 (44 %)Many people could not make it to the playoffs even though they qualified, why do you think that is?
- Paranoid didn't have his passport, and he couldn't get it that quickly (to have it on the offline) and spawn is working in England xD so he probably played for satisfaction, cause he couldn't come anyway
Have you ever been this close to the grand final before? Have you tried to qualify any other year?
- I didn't have time earlier holidays to play WCG and last year I figured that the last eliminations were week before I came on the WCG site. So I never qualified to offline WCG before.
What did you think of the offline playoffs then? The people, organizers, the location? Have you met any of the players before? Who was your hardest opponent? Do you want it to be in the same spot next year?
- The playoffs were in Blue City in Warsaw. The organization was better then the last year (I was always watching as a spectator) and what can I say about the people. There were great people cheering me on... great number of StarCraft players and fans... very good players also for ex. Draco ^^ And it was really cool to meet the players. I knew Hullah, GohaN from some time, rest I only saw on photos or some interviews. I think the hardest opponent was fosken maybe because PvZ is my worst match up.
If I would be the one to choose, I would choose "Hala expo" from WCG2004. It was the greatest WCG because the whole place was only for WCG gamers/spectators and after the WCG whole StarCraft people went drinking to same place. Really great event, I'll never forget it.
Is Poland big on those kind of events? You have offline tournaments and LAN parties and such?
- Yes, we have Polish championships, heyah league with offline finals.
Getting back to WCG; you won versus MIStrZZZ in the winner bracket, how did it feel? What happened if I may say that, you were not really the one people thought would walk out as the winner of that match. And then you faced GohaN, another Protoss. your Protoss versus Protoss is good, is it not?
- Hehe, we played many matches before and frankly I came with mind set of not losing the first game. I gave everything I had to not e the first and I won. I was happy as hell cause I was sure that I had lost. My PvP is on same level for some time.. I think the thing that motivated me was MIStrZZZ comment before the WCG have started he told me that I have very weak macro (it was true) and I concentrated most on macro.. And it was my key to success.
And you face him again, 2-0 in the loser bracket final, how did it feel to be in the grand final, a sure top two?
- It was great to be in top3, since then I felt a little relaxed so maybe that was the cause of 2-0 loss vs Fosken in WBF but later I concentrated and managed to win vs MIStrZZZ again. After that I was motivated in the finals... and I played quite well. It was really a surprise for me... that I won I mean.
Moving on to Seattle then, what are you expectations of the event? Anyone special you want to meet or play versus? Have you been to USA before?
- I expect the biggest gaming party on the world... I'm sure it will the biggest adventure of my life. I'll do my best and just hope my nerves won't petrify me. And no, I've never been to USA before. So I'm happy that I can finally go there!
How far you think you can go in the tournament? Who do you wish to be in your group and who do you really not want there?
- I hope to get out from the group stage - who knows how far I can go. I don't want to have any Korean/Chinese gosu in my group but I don't have any special players that I wish were in it.
How do you prepare for WCG? Playing more than usual, versus some special players or how do you practice? What do you think about the maps?
- Hmm... after the playoffs I spend my time on relaxing mostly, but I'm gonna to train hard. I have some sparring partners etc. I can say that mass playing and hours spent on computer are ahead of me. The maps are nothing new. I wish this WCG had new maps where you can make new tricks but its not my decision
Why do you think that Poland only had one sponsored spot? I heard someone can get their own sponsors and then go to Seattle anyway?
- We have 1 spot every year and that is pathetic... Its probably because Samsung doesn't want to give money for us ;/ We have very good players but the sponsors are really mean - we cant do anything. There is a possibility that you can fly to WCG on your own but it's a cost of 2000euro so its really hard to gather.

But anyone can if they could find that kind of money?
- I heard that deadline is 10th of September but I didn't go any further cause I don't need that kind of information. I only know that Fosken & MIStrZZZ are doing the best they can to gather the money + our Polish team sponsor (Betsson Voodoo Gaming) might give some cash.
Tell me more about voodoo gaming. What kind of organization is it and who is in the team?
- Our team now consist of many players, I can tell you some more known: MIStrZZZ, Yayba, Gohan, Fabian, Paranoid(Gosia), Fosken, Itsux, and some more players. We are polish team with many sponsors any many divisions like ET, CS, W3 except BW.
Do you listen to music when you play?
- Sure, first thing I did when I came to WCG was to plug in my iPod and transfer some of my favorite songs.
Any last words?
- I'd like to thank people who were giving me some chances! I'd like to thank Fervent for the place to sleep and his room mates for the hangover next day. Mostly I'd like to thank Hullah, besides he lost he was sitting next to me and telling me that I can make it! I wouldn't have done it without you baby! And in the end I'd like to thank my girl for the faith she always has in me.
