The PCS number one seed brought its claws out in full force to defeat LOUD once again.

PSG Talon is the first team to secure a spot to the next round of the Play-In Stage after a clean 2-0 victory over LOUD in Group A. This now marks the second time that PSG has defeated LOUD on the global stage. The first time it happened was during the Mid-Season Invitational when PSG eliminated LOUD.

The PCS number one seed will finish the first round of the Play-In Stage undefeated, having won the first series against Rainbow7 a few days prior. They will now await for the second seed from Group B in the next round while LOUD will drop to the elimination series.

Game one was a bloodbath from very early on as both teams sought to take control from the get-go. But as the early game wore on, it was PSG who slowly pulled away with the gold lead with some great skirmishes going in their favour. But try as they might, PSG could not fend off LOUD completely, who take be able to trade kill for kill in multiple occasions.

And it all came to a head in the 24th minute when LOUD managed to teamwipe PSG in the middle lane while against the run of play. This brought the gold differential down to nothing as LOUD managed to bring themselves back into contention. But some crucial mistakes just a few minutes later would eventually cost LOUD the match after a great turnaround.

Having looked like they threw everything they had at PSG, LOUD looked a shadow of their former selves in the second match. PSG ran riot from the start and this time, they did not let their foot off the pedal. For a team like LOUD, it got awfully quiet at LoL Park when PSG kept the Brazilian squad to just four kills the entire match.

While PSG performed well in both games, the second match would be one to remember with the likes of Wei-Yang "Wako" Zou putting on a dominant performance on Kai'Sa as secured 11 kills to go with his four assists and zero deaths. Chun-chia "Junjia" Yu was solid in both games in the jungler role while Huang "Azhi" Shang-Zhi also had a great showing with Kennen in game two.

PSG Talon now gets a three-day break before the second round of the Play-In Stage starts as they await the other three contenders. LOUD will also get a couple of days to reset as they await the winner of the elimination series between GAM Esports and Rainbow7, which will take place tomorrow.
