Royal Never Gives Up has brought three new faces to its roster to increase its chances of qualifying for Worlds 2023.

With the LPL Summer Split starting in just a few short days, Royal Never Gives Up has finalised its roster for the remainder of the season, bringing in the likes of former LNG Esports AD carry, Li "LP" Fei. He will also be joined by the support duo of Zuo "LvMao" Minghao and Bo-Lin "Lele" Dang.

This came just days after RNG lost their iconic bottom lane duo of Chen "GALA" Wei and Shi Sen "Ming" Ming, with the former having joined LNG Esports in return for LP coming the other way. As for Ming, there have been no updates on who he will sign with after leaving RNG. Both players were responsible for RNG's back-to-back MSI championships while Ming was also part of the org that won back in 2018.

But the days of the old RNG are now long gone with three new additions to the lineup. A change of scenery seemed necessary for RNG after the org struggled during the LPL Spring Split. They just made it past the group stage, having finished in ninth with an overall score of 8-8. While they did best Thundertalk Gaming in the first round of the playoffs, RNG would then fall to the eventual second-placed finished at MSI, Bilibili Gaming.

As it stands, both RNG and T1 are still the only two teams to have won MSI back-to-back while the former is still the only team in the world to have won the prestigious tournaments on three separate occasions. But they do have more pressing concerns for now, which include qualifying for Worlds 2023. Especially after last year's debacle, RNG will look to make amends for their performances in North America last year.
