G2 sweep VIT; SPY take down GIA (EU LCS W6D2 Recap)

Team Vitality vs. G2 Esports
They might have lost at IEM Katowice last week, but G2 Esports are seemingly unstoppable in the EU LCS. They snagged a decisive 2-0 victory against Team Vitality in today's series, outplaying their opponents in lane to cruise to victory. Early objectives proved to be easy to pick up thanks to G2's lane dominance, and once they had the gold lead it was child's play for the reigning European champions to put away Vitality.
VIT were able to secure Camille in both of today's games, but the Steel Shadow's many strengths weren't enough to propel them to victory. Djoko and Nukeduck both looked out of sorts today and made quite a few questionable decisions, like trying to 1v1 Trick's Kha'Zix in game 1 or flashing over a wall for a suicidal Command: Shockwave play. Trick meanwhile had a fantastic series, picking up a 14/1/13 KDA over two games and making a strong case for why Nidalee is still viable in the LCS.
Giants Gaming vs. Splyce
Splyce demonstrated that they can do it all in today's series. Game 1's victory came off the back of a highly unusual team composition, while game 2 showed that they can play the traditional champions just as easily. Giants Gaming were nothing more than a bump in the road as Splyce took home the win, moving up to 5-3 in the standings.
Mikyx was absolutely stellar in today's series, with solid performances on both Karma and support Camille that set up his allies for success. Wunder also showed up to play, taking an 8/1/4 KDA on Gnar in a surprisingly good showing. On the other side of the table, neither NighT's unique Talon pick nor Memento's Graves were able to help the Giants come back from early game deficits - they fell in under thirty minutes in both games.
