Evil Geniuses showed commanding improvement in their game against Complexity while Counter Logic Gaming found a convincing win to stay on top of the charts for the start of week 5.

Today's LCS kicked off with Cloud 9 vs. Curse Gaming where Cloud 9 showed that they've come back and improved as a team in recent practice. Curse aggressively invaded on red and acquired first blood and maintained early turret control despite Cloud 9's early game composition.

The game was oxymoronic in a sense due to Cloud 9 pulling ahead later in the game with an early game composition.  Overall, Cloud 9 were more capable of capitalizing on the mistakes Curse made rather than the other way around and were able to pull out a victory.

The second game was Team Solo Mid vs. Team Dignitas. Due to a sloppy level 1 by TSM, Dignitas were able to start with a large lead.  With strong coordination between jungle and support roaming, Team Solomid were able to equalize the gold with well executed dives.

During the middle of the game, Team Solomid had shown their drastic improvement by keeping it even with the current top ranked team of North America, but unfortunately a crucial teamfight for Dignitas would leave Team Solomid in the dust.  When a battle near baron erupted, Imaqtpie, with peel and assistance from his team, was able to kite out the fight and take out crucial targets, ensuring victory for the Dignitas squad.

The third game then kicked off with Counter Logic Gaming vs. LMQ.  CLG favored the third consecutive Jinx pick in a row today with Doublelift bringing it as his carry of choice.  Not wanting any early game advantage going to CLG, LMQ kicked things off with an early level 1 dragon. Where LMQ had better dragon control, CLG were outperforming them in teamfights.

Fo ther fights that dragged on, LMQ appeared to have the edge due to their more cohesive shot calling. Regardless, the "wombo combo" ultimates from CLG as well as their superior tower control allowed them to take the game against the Chinese powerhouses and remain in first place.

The final game was a rather anti-climatic but much needed win for Evil Geniuses vs. Complexity.  Evil Geniuses' Altec came out huge early on starting out with 2-0 with a stronger scaling carry.  Helios' tank jungle was reminscent of last year's Najin Sword playstyle; he, too, was able to acquire a kill early.

Once again we found Westrice struggling in the top lane, forcing Kez to come and alleviate pressure on his lane, leaving the other lanes including the winning bottom lane against Complexity vulnerable.  Evil Geniuses were able to close out the game as the least close game of the split and break their tie for last place.
