After being outdone by other MOBAs in graphics, Riot sheds some light on their new map redesign.

League of Legends' Summoner's Rift is acquiring a new Dota-esque map style now, featuring darker tones, cleaned up textures, and and overall more fantasy feel.  While many worry that their old machines will have troubles running it, Riot ensures that it'll be equal to or possibly more optimized than the previous Summoner's Rift.

With the new map will also be gameplay changes.  Dragon and Baron are now receiving MMO-esque "mechanics" to the fight to make them feel more rewarding and engaging to players.
