Chawy joins the Taipei Assassins as their six man, available to swap with Morning and Jay, while Mountain joins the Taipei Snipers as their new jungler.
After the Taipei Assassins picked up their new jungler from Azubu Taipei Snipers, it was obvious TPS would be adding a new jungler to their own roster. They need look no further than the yoe Flash Wolves, where they had previously found Winds, and have announced that hey have signed yFW's recent acquisition, Xue "Mountain" Zhao-Hong, who played both mid and jungle for yFW in the 2014 GPL Spring split.
The more surprising news, however, was the acquisition of Wong "Chawy" Xing Lei, previously of the Singapore Sentinels, where he most recently played mid lane. The team leader Polo believes that Chawy can bring a different sense of team chemistry and compensate for holes in Morning's style and champion pool as well as make rotations with support player, Jay. Chawy joining TPA will formally change the format to six-aside.
As to what will happen to the Singapore Sentinels in the absence of their star player, no information has yet been revealed. Chawy's acquisition by TPA marks the first player not from the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau region to join the team, which could spell changes for Garena moving forward, should more inter-regional swaps occur. It will probably not cause the end of the region-lock qualifying spots in GPL, but it's potentially a sign of more talent swapping across regions in the future.
