With quick back to back wins, Ninjas in Pyjamas secure their spot in the Challenger Series #2 Final as well as mathematically guarantee themselves a top six finish on the ladder.

Game 1

An early lane swap by NiP gave them a significant advantage as Zorozero fared much better in the trade than Beasu in terms of both farm and experience.  A quick rotation by Hulberto led to the Dragon for NiP only 7 minutes in as the lanes went in their favor across the board.

Taking advantage of Sivir’s utility and speed, NiP picked up first blood onto BarneyD at 11 minutes. A skirmish around Dragon game NiP two more kills as well as the objective, securing them a solid 4k gold lead after only 15 minutes.

Throughout the mid-game leveraged their lead, diving towers and finding kills across the map as Nukeduck got scarier and scarier. NiP’s play was patient and methodical as they slowly strangled out Reason Gaming with smart rotations which knocked down tower after tower.

Half an hour into the very low kill objective based game, NiP managed to secure the Baron and make their final assault as Reason desperately tried to defend their base. NiP picked up a handful of kills to close out a game which was never in doubt despite the slow pace of play.

Game 2

An early face-check by Krislund put the Reason Gaming bot-lane behind early and a pair of consecutive hooks from Mithy allowed NiP to capitalize and secure first blood onto BarneyD. Things went from bad to worse for the Reason as Hublerto pulled of a successful gank in the bot-lane, but they were able to recover and take the Dragon at 11 minutes.

Across the board the laning phase went in NiP’s favor, with Zorozero picking up a solo kill in a tower dive and Nukeduck handily holding his own while Hulberto slowly gained a farm advantage. Trashy’s relentless camping in the bot lane finally paid off around 15 minutes as Reason picked up a kill on Mithy as well as the tower, but they paid for it as Nukeduck not only roamed top to kill Beansu, but also teamed up for Hulberto to catch out Sencux.

Thanks to their strong laning the mid-game was firmly in NiP’s hand, and they opted to play it slow, pushing towers casually while taking Dragons and finding the occasional kill, leading to a decent gold advantage. Feeling the game slipping away from them, Reason made a strong push down the middle lane and showed some signs of life around 26 minutes with Trashy landing a Cocoon onto Freeze which led to two kills; but NiP quickly answered in kind with Hulberto picking up a double kill onto Beansu and BarneyD.

On the back of an outplay 1v1 by Krislund onto Nukeduck, Reason quickly took down both top lane turrets, but the gold lead continued to mount for NiP as fights continually went into their favor. The nail in the coffin came at 36 minutes, as Nukeduck caught Sencux in no-man’s land and utterly destroyed him, leading to Baron for NiP, an ace in the next teamfight and the game shortly after.
