Alliance look to gain ground on Gambit while Millenium brawl it out with Supa Hot Crew at the bottom of the standings for a much needed win in week 9 of the EU LCS spring split.

Gambit Gaming vs Alliance

While Alliance trailed behind by only 2 points, they looked to gain some consistency to their play after a great performance in super week, in their match against Gambit Gaming. After a lot of focus around the mid lane between the mid laners and junglers, Froggen managed to pick up the first blood on to Alex Ich. Gambit were able to respond with an early top tower due to the pushing of Darien and Diamondprox. Alliance managed to take the first dragon of the game without much resistance from Gambit while Wickd also dealt a good amount of damage onto the top turret. Froggen continued to roam on Kayle picking up 4 kills before being shut down by Diamond and Alex in the bottom lane. The teams continued to skirmish with Alliance evidently winning out the fights, due to their advantage in gold from the roams from Froggen and objective control. Froggen managed to draw Gambit to the bottom lane by over extending, however they used the Evelynn stealth to their advantage and baited in the gank resulting in a 2 for 1 for Alliance.

Alliance continued to find picks all over the map, and showed their strength with a huge fight at the dragon pit and throughout fights in Gambit's jungle that gained them a dragon kill and a 4 for 0, instantly followed by a rushed Baron at 26:19 while Gambit's players were respawning. Using their Baron buff, Alliance doubled their tower score pushing down the middle lane and taking the inner turret. Finally, using their 12k gold lead, Alliance found yet another 4 for 0 in the bottom lane and continued their push to steamroll through the inhibitor and take out the nexus with a commanding victory.

Millenium vs Supa Hot Crew

With both teams needing a win at the bottom of the bracket, the Supa Hot Crew took on Millenium with their new mid laner, Marcin “Selfie” Wolski in the second game of the day. Araneae made the first move, ganking the top lane, however didn't really take anything from it, as it did not result in a kill or even a summoner spell blown, followed by an equally unrewarding gank at bottom. The first blood came down for Impaler onto Kerp after a duel between the two mid laners, with Impaler using his leap over the wall behind Kerp's turret to finish off the kill. Supa Hot Crew used their lead to try and apply pressure the Millenium red buff, however Millenium successfully pushed them away and secured their red. Araneae continued his efforts to gank, however still failed to land a successful gank and came away with nothing due to the LeBlanc's mobility, and shortly after got caught out in the top lane by Mimer and Impaler who got the kill and pushed down the top turret. Millenium responded by taking the dragon due to Impaler and Selfie going back to base and because Supa Hot Crew had no vision of the pit. Supa Hot Crew continued the relentless pressure on the Millenium jungle, stealing the red buff and almost killing Araneae before rotating to mid and taking the turret.

Supa Hot Crew skirmished with Millenium several times, clearly showing their dominance over the match as they came out ahead of the fights and eventually caught Araneae at his wraiths to leave Impaler with deadly 3 kills on his Kha Zix. Supa Hot Crew attempted to take the dragon, however peeled off to grab themselves another 2 kills, although giving up the dragon in the process, resulting in a third dragon for Millenium. Supa Hot Crew kept the pressure on in every lane, managing to get themselves an inhibitor turret from a MrRallez splitpush despite Kev1n attempting to defend. Araneae continued to get caught out, as he had throughout the game which, with their hefty advantage, allowed Supa Hot Crew to take a free Baron due to the lack of the danger of the smite steal. With a baron buff and an impressive 12k gold lead, there wasn't much Millenium could do to defend against the dominating Supa Hot Crew, who proceeded to take the dragon, finish off the top inhibitor, and push through the top turret to take a 3 for 0 fight and finish off the nexus.
