The last games of GPL group stage featured strong comeback performances by both Manila Eagles and yoe Flash Wolves. With the Sentinels' loss to MLE and YFW taking down SF5, YFW claimed third seed from Group B. The game got off to a powerful start for the Sentinels with DDan finding Knut for first blood and taking control of his jungle. This control continued until Yukz began to ramp up, and a fight in the Eagles' blue buff got kills for Hatred. From there, Hatred became a powerful force, coming to Knut's defense in his jungle and managing to stay safe and deal damage in fights. The combination of Yukz's strong front line and Hatred's consistent damage allowed the Eagles to pick up their second win. Though they still finished the group in last place, they paved the way for yoe Flash Wolves to take third seed. The last game of Group B also began with an early lead by the losing team. Pressure from Jungleology gave Gony an early advantage over Steak. Yet, though REFRAIN started roaming the map later, he still managed to find a great deal of kills and get his team back in the game. Saigon Fantastic Five's dragon control, however, was superior, and though fights tended to go even through the mid game, this was largely due to Gony's lead. Eventually, the Taiwanese team was able to isolate Gony and melt the rest of his Fantastic Five with ease. They ramped up a huge lead in the late game, which they pressured for a win. Along the way, they leaned heavily on NL's Caitlyn.
