Intel Extreme Masters reveal that Cloud 9 and Azubu Taipei Assassins will be in attendance.  The team from Korea and an additional attendee from Europe will be announced on Sunday.

The IEM World Championships are one of the few high caliber international tournaments League of Legends fans have to look foward to in order to gauge the relative skill of regions.  Gambit Gaming and Millenium are confirmed attendees from Europe, and Invictus Gaming and Team World Elite were previously announced as the Chinese representatives.

Hopes were high that attending teams from Taiwan and Southeast Asia and North America would be strong regional forces.  For Taiwan and Southeast Asia, it's hard to ask for a higher caliber team than the Spring GPL champions, the Azubu Taipei Assassins.  And though whispers have slotted Team SoloMid as the strongest North American LCS team, few can argue with Cloud 9's recent track record.

Gambit Gaming seem to be the one consistent top performing team in European LCS, since ROCCAT lost their last two games and Fnatic went on their losing streak.  World Elite and Invictus Gaming are looking like their old selves.  One can only hope that the final European representatitve and the team from Korea will hold as much promise.
