The Wolves scrap a win versus Millenium, while the Polish team is now pulling further ahead the other European teams.
Copenhagen Wolves started the game with a lane swap at mid and bottom, taking advantage of cowtard's better farming ability from his Gragas. While it was effective at first, Millenium answered by lane swapping as well. Then CW's plan backfired when Araneae on Elise made a successful gank at bot with Kerp on Fizz, and from there MIL were able to take dragons and map pressure. They were also ahead in towers, which allowed the pick-focused team comp to rotate a lot.
However, the problems that Millenium (and Copenhagen Wolves) had were still persistent. Mainly, the ability to have a solid mid-late gameplan. This meant that for almost 20 minutes, both teams were just moving around, trying to make something happen yet failing. Fortunately for CW,their siege comp had better natural scaling in the late game, and with Forgiven farming hard on Lucian, they were slowly able to take the reins of the game. Particularly in a long baron dance, where CW finally won through a much harder and stronger engage. While the end still took a few more minutes, the Wolves poked and sieged their way through all three inhibitors. With their lineup being much more powerful as this stage of the game, CW eventually a much-needed victory.
Even with four subs, Gambit Gaming looked decent as Hulberto invaded ROCCAT's blue. Unfortunately, he got spotted by a ward as he was trying to pull it off again on red at second spawn, and gave up first blood. The rest of the lanes were fairly even, though nukeduck on Zed seemed hesistant to roam or duel with Overpow's Ziggs. GMB then showed a glimmer of teamplay as Hulberto and Zorozero took out Xaxus at top while Edward nd Fury took out bottom turret, transitioning to the first dragon.
Coordination and experience as a team came out on top however, when ROCCAT started to group up and outpositioning GMB at the second dragon. From there, it was all about the superior rotations of the Polish squad, as they kept making strong picks and plays, leading up to a 26 minute baron. Nukeduck took too long to step up, and while he could 1v1 Xaxus' Trundle, the rest of ROC were simply too powerful for the other GMB members to handle. Steamrolling towards the base with an Ohmwrecker in hand, Overpow and his team secured a win and are now in a definitive spot as the leader of the pack.
