EG fails to live up to the hype and XDG looks unstoppable in the beginning of NA's LCS.
TSM vs. C9
The game began with a curious mid lane Teemo pick and a 2v1 lane swap. Dyrus' Nasus was heavily punished by Meteos' pressure, and Hai's Teemos suffered against Bjergsen's Gragas burst. Ultimately, Sneaky's Caitlyn got the first turret, but Balls' lack of pressure allowed Dyrus to remain somewhat even. Action began when Cloud 9 brute forced a push in the mid lane, and LemonNation gave first blood in a four for two trade in TSM's favor.
Cloud 9 retook the gold advantage when Hai baited Dyrus and Bjergsen in the bottom lane, allowing his team to clean up. Then, when Cloud 9 chased too far, Dyrus returned to take a kill, and TSM went for a risky dragon. OddOne's Nunu lost the objective to Sneaky's Piltover Peacemaker, and Cloud 9 took a two thousand gold lead.
Picks on the mid lane while Dyrus farmed in the side lanes allowed Cloud 9 to snowball the lead, taking every dragon and utilizing tight control of the baron area to easily acquire the buff three times without TSM even bothering to contest. From the first dragon fight, the game was over.
XDG vs. EG
Zuna and Snoopeh both tried to wait a big first play in mid, with Snoopeh getting first blood and Zuna getting the return kill on Lee Sin. Zuna camped mid once more and with Mancloud took down Pobelter before his Kassadin got to 6, and kept impressing during the early game by ganking the solo lanes and making strong plays. Snoopeh on Lee Sin is not as impressive though, and Yasuo's LCS debut by Innox was just getting bullied by Benny's Renekton.
After the first turrets fall, the rest was pretty much XD.GG snowballing bigger and bigger. EG's double assassin comp was simply unable to get any sort of lead during the opening stages, which is vital for such a lineup. Also, it seems like the role swap between Jungler and AD Carry worked wonders, as Zuna is now able to go ham and Xmithie utilizing his strong mechanics.
The massacre ends around the 30 minute mark, with Zuna having a near 100% kill participation, with no deaths. An explosive and remarkable first game for XD.GG, and an unfortunate LCS debut for the Evil Geniuses.
