LD vs. TSM

After Group B, the already decided Group A games started with Lemondogs up against TSM. Lemondogs started with a early gank against Rumble early on for first blood. As the game progressed it became obvious that Lemondogs had their main focus set on shitting down the top lane and counter jungle. TSM retaliated with a good fight down in the bot lane and obtained a dragon out of it as well. Lemondogs learning from the previous game against TSM decided to proceed slowly. The game shifted gears when Lemondogs took Baron, however it didn't truly end until the second Baron baited TSM for an Ace.?

GG vs. SKT

The second group A game was between Gaming Gear.eu going against the Korean powerhouse SKTT1. SKTT1 started with a quick first blood on the top lane double lane. Piglet would be a fearsome player in this game as he would repeatedly be the one picking people off. Faker would join in soon afterwards picking up a kill himself. For the first 6 kills that SKTT1 recieved 5 of them belonged to the ADC/Support. At 26 minutes in the game ended in SKT's favor with a 13-4 kill difference, Faker was also the only player to not die.?

OMG vs. LD

OMG came into this game looking to play with a unique lineup against Lemondogs. OMG during the pick and bans decided to lock in jungle Yorick, Support Veigar laning with AP Nidalee, and mid lane Cassiopeia. Lemondogs started this game rather aggressively as they would pick up a first blood on Aatrox. Gogoing however played extremely aggressively and came back and picked up two kills and a death, tieing the game at 2-2. Lemondogs decided that in order to win they would need to exploit weaknesses of the OMG composition, leading them to a quick burst in kills 5-3. OMG then shifted gears and forced Lemondogs to defend while an onslaught of sieging potential bombarded the EU team. Nothing was going to stop OMG as they would even take Baron without wards. 36 minutes into the game OMG ended the game with a 14-7 kill difference.?

TSM vs. GG

TSM concluded the fourth match of the group going up against Gaming Gear. In honor of the fans wishes TSM went for a complete role swap for everybody on their team except the Oddone. Reginald in their last match of S3WC even locked in Teemo for the fans. TSM managed to do a great first blood tactic on Teemo, unfortunately for TSM though, that was about the peak of their highlights. The Oddone played well on Hecarim going 3/0/2 at 15 minutes, but by that time GG.eu had already pulled a 8-6 kill lead with 2k gold. Gaming Gear continued playing well for the rest of the way and eventually beat TSM with a 15k gold lead. With smiles on both teams, GG.eu ended their season with a victory and the fans had a field day with a Teemo pickup.?

SKT vs. OMG

The clash of the titans was the last and final match of the group stages as SKTT1 faced against China's OMG. SKT wanted revenge after their first loss against the team on the first day of group stages without shaking hands. OMG came in looking aggressive and both teams traded blue buffs to begin with. The aggression from OMG started on an amazing level in the beginning giving Cool first blood. From that point on Faker would battle Cool, the clash was a mix of pure skill and unbelievable plays. Faker would lose the trade, but Cool would be sniped immediately afterwards by Piglet. After both sides returned to lane Faker would bring along with him the bot lane and crush OMG. OMG would lose 3 towers and an inhibitor while also dying 7 times, bringing the lead to SKT 7-2 at 13 minutes. The defeat at that mid lane was just too much for OMG to handle as SKT would take the game at 23 minutes, destroying OMG's perfect record.?

With the Group stages over the quarterfinal matchups were announced. North America's Cloud 9 would play against EU's Fnatic. China's OMG and Royal Club would be playing each other in a rematch of the Chinese Regional Finals. Najin Sword of Korea will play Russian powerhouse Gambit Gaming. Lastly the Taiwanese Gama Bears play against Korea's SKTT1.
