Blizzard unveils Heroes of the Storm news show: Beyond the Nexus

Hosted by Dreadnaught and Gillyweed, Beyond the Nexus is high on production quality and highlights the best of Heroes eSports through a medium that works.
Over 20 minutes of eSports news. That is the accomplishment the Heroes eSports team unveiled yesterday and the community is better for it. Everyone knows that the intricacies of team roster changes, current power rankings, and a shifting meta are hard to follow, but they are just too interesting to ignore. News outlets like GosuGamers try to follow each story, but there is something special when Blizzard themselves take the time and energy to put on something spectacular.
A needed voice
In this writer's opinion, Beyond the Nexus is one of the greatest things to happen to Heroes eSports in recent memory and I hope this becomes a regular thing. You simply can't find two hosts as knowledgeable as Dreadnaught and Gillyweed and the dynamic they bring creates a legitimacy that Heroes eSports needs more of.
Gillyweed and Dreadnaught gave their Summer Championship Power Rankings predictions
Beyond the Nexus plays like a real news show, with different stories, segments, and even fluff sections including a piece where they ask a series of professional players what their favorite heroes are. It was fun to hear Mcintyre of Naventic talk about his love of Kerrigan for the big play potential, or why Splendour of myInsanity loves the Lost Viking for how unique the hero is.
Big steps forward
Overall, the result is a fresh look on Heroes eSports that brings the immediacy of current events to the public eye. I can't express how good it looks and feels to have a serious production and time investment put into the goal of "telling the Heroes eSports story."
We at GosuGamers look forward to the future of this show!
