No sign of Edward Gaming slowing down since the Spring Championship in their strong start in Group B

China’s Gold League continued with Group B completing its first 2 days of competition. After their strong performance in the Spring Championship, the clear powerhouse of this group is Edward Gaming. And after 2 lop-sided victories over Zero Panda and X Team the rest of the teams know they’re likely just battling for second.

It remains to be seen which team in Group B will rise to claim second place. X Team and TSD Team look to be the strongest contenders so far. Despite their loss to Edward Gaming, X Team devastated Braveheart.Super with 39 kills to their 7 and didn’t give up a single turn-in on Blackheart’s Bay or an Immortal on Battlefield of Eternity. TSD Team also looked strong in their victories over Zero Panda and Braveheart (not to be confused with Braveheart Super) so the matchup between Xteam and TSD on April 24th will be one to look forward to.

After 30 games in Gold League we’re getting a good idea which Heros in the latest patch are rising in popularity. No surprise that the reworked Illidan, Greymane, and Rehgar are getting picked or banned most often. We’re also seeing a resurgence from Kael’thas and Sylvanas with notable impact.
