With Heroes of the Storm directly competing with the top two eSports (LoL and Dota2) in the MOBA scene, Heroes of the Storm is the Blizzard game that needs the most support from Blizzard and the community to grow. Luckily, we are getting more and more of that with both Blizzard and third-party organizers announcing more and more Heroes of the Storm events.

Today, a new European event was announced that will be trying to bring us the top entertainment that only the best teams can bring: the Heroes Battle Arena. Eight teams have been invited to play for the $10,000 USD price pool.

(Kiev 6-1 is replacing Team Dignitas who were unable to participate.)

The teams will all be playing each other in Bo3's during the Round-Robin stage of the league over the course of weeks, resulting in a huge number of games. The top 4 teams will then qualify for the Playoffs stage, which will be a Single Elimination bracket featuring Bo5's only.

Matches will be streamed and casted in both Russian and English, and the first games are scheduled for today as stated above. Russian fans will be able to enjoy the commentary by HappyZerg here, while Khaldor and Tetcher will provide the English commentary here, with Team Spartanien taking on Virtus.Pro at 6pm CET.
