This weeks VoD features a strategy that I commend compLexity for putting into practice. Everyone knows that Haunted Mines is a battleground that heavily rewards early game dominance, and in this game vs The Pleys, compLexity looked determined to take advantage of that in an aggressive way.

By drafting Arthas, Sonya, Abathur, Brightwing, and Jaina, compLexity gave them selves a clear early game edge. Arthas and Sonya are especially deadly at the earliest stages of the game, and backed up by Abathur they can appear almost unstoppable in small, chaotic skirmishes. This is VoD showcases this rather comically in one of the early fights over Skulls.

It's not enough to just draft aggressively, but you have to play the composition correctly as well. By forcing near constant team fights early in the game, compLexity took full advantage of the Pleys heroic dependent team composition. Rehgar, Illidan, Tassadar and Tyrael are strong heroes, but their biggest powerspike is at level 10 and compLexity knew this. They were able to take early forts and every mercenary on the map before The Pleys hit 10, and only then did they start playing more conservatively.
