The Czech won the first Un’Goro tournament this weekend.

Hosted by Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy in his home, the fourth edition of Throne of Cards represented the first competitive bout to use Journey to Un’Goro. After two days of battle, the final came down to Lifecoach’s G2 team-mate Dima “Rdu” Radu and Misfits’ Stanislav “StanCifka” Cifka.

In five games, Cifka won the battle of the two DreamHack champions, sporting a fairly aggressive line-up. Pirate Warrior, Aggro Hunter and Elemental Shaman represented the raw speed of Cifka’s composition, supported by the combo-oriented nature of [card]the caverns below[/card] Rogue.

It was Cifka’s extremely defensive Warlock which completed the line-up of five decks. The deck stands out with the inclusion of the new [card]bloodbloom[/card] card to create swings through [card]bane of doom[/card], [card]siphon soul[/card] and even [card]doom[/card]. [card]lord jaraxxus[/card] and [card]medivh, the guardian[/card] serve as the deck’s primary win conditions, the rest of the curve being filled with defensive mechanisms.

StanCifka’s success with this line-up leads us to believe there’s an aggressive meta coming our way. Pirate Warrior remains a threat to be reckoned with and its aggro brothers are also perfect for stopping the Quest Rogue and Quest Mage decks often seen on ladder. What the land around Un’Goro look like in a month’s time when the meta gets figured out, however, remains to be seen.
