Netherspite Historian brings more dragons to the party in Karazhan

Waiting for players in the Spire of Medivh's home, this 2-cost minion seems to have a lot of potential.
In a blog post Medivh's steward Moroes took us to the very top of Karazhan, in which a nice surprise was waiting. The Netherspite Historian doesn't have good stats for its cost, but that is far from where its strength lies. The best comparison to the dracophilic gnome is [card]Gorillabot A-3[/card]. However, it does give the iconic dragon-twist to its effect, requiring players to have a dragon in their hand to trigger the battlecry.
Similar to [card]Twilight Guardian[/card], [card]Blackwing Corruptor[/card] and [card]Drakonid Crusher[/card], Netherspite Historian's battlecry is very powerful. Generally dragon decks don't have big draw mechanics and rely on a good curve. With Netherspite Historian the archetype can smooth its curve and find just what they might need. In the early game a [card]Faerie Dragon[/card] might just be what you need, in the midgame [card]Azure Drake[/card] could be what you want, whilst an [card]Onyxia[/card] could seal the game at later stages.
Over a third of the cards have been revealed already, and coming Friday we will get to see even more during a livestream featuring famous caster Dan "Frodan" Chou and Senior Producer Yong Woo. In the meantime, be sure to check out our One Night in Karazhan spoiler page for all the cards released thus far!
