Watch Hearthstone pros go against poker stars this weekend.
Estimated to start at 12:00 CET with Group A, DreamHack Leipzig will entertain Hearthstone fans in the mornings of Friday till Sunday. A good mix of Hearthstone champions, rising starts and the occasional poker veteran are gathered in Germany to split the $9,500 prize pool.
The field is quite stacked. World Champion Sebastian “Ostkaka” Engwall, GosuAwards player of the year Thijs “ThijsNL” Molendijk, DreamHack Winter champion Ryan “Purple” Root and break-out player Jan “SuperJJ” Janssen are among the invited, looking to start 2016 on a high note. The 16 names are split in a standard double elimination group stage, with half of the pool advancing to the playoffs on championship Sunday.
This is not only the first DreamHack event of this year but one of the first LAN events in the west for 2016. Later this afternoon, the DH Leipzig streams will overlap with the conclusion of the $50,000 StarLadder i-Series, scheduled to start at 15:00 CET and making for a busy weekend for Hearthstone enthusiasts.
