Old Gods aren't the best at making friends, but today Blizzard confirmed N'Zoth's best buddy will be in the game as a Warrior card.
While C'Thun already has his fair share of cultists and followers, the other Old Gods were left behind a little. Now that Blizzard has officially released the first image of Old God N'Zoth (by many regarded as the most evil of the Old Gods), he is slowly gathering his crew too. Gaming company Razer tweeted a picture of the newest addition to the Whispers of the Old Gods set earlier today.
Much like the earlier announced Tentacle of N'Zoth, this minion costs 1 mana for its 1/1 stats. Similar to [card]Arathi Weaponsmith[/card], N'Zoth's First Mate gives the player a weapon as battlecry. The 1/3 weapon doesn't seem that interesting as of yet, with [card]Fiery War Axe[/card] reaching a wider number of minions it can effectively remove. However, what is interesting, is the fact that both of the minions dedicated to N'Zoth have 1/1 as their stats, and cost 1 mana. The community is already speculating whether or not this is accidental, or if N'Zoth will have some interaction with 1/1's. A larger version of [card]Hobgoblin[/card], maybe?
