Dog, Kolento, Surrender and Amaz are locked in for the main event in January.

The StarLadder i-Series marathon has reached a milestone as the seeds for the grand finals are getting filled up. After two rounds of group stage matches, the world division knows four of the six players that will represent it Belarus next month.

Korean start Jung-Soo “Surrender” Kim topped Group A, topping off what was a great year for him. The youngster whose start first shined at WEC 2014 now has the chance to make the fourth grand final of his career, following the silver at WEC and the back-to-back showdowns at OGN Korea Masters. Liquid’s David “Dog” Caero will also be joining him. The American is on his way to recovery after having low-profile appearances in October and November which came after many months of consistent tournament performance.

Aleksandr “Kolento” Malsh came out as the winner in Group B. The Ukrainian – nominated for GosuAwards player of the year for the second time – had a tough 3-2 opening match against Archon’s Jason “Amaz” Chan but cruised unopposed through Jeffrey “Trump” Shih in the winners match to top the group. In the last two matches of the group, Amaz recovered from his opening loss and joined Kolento, Surrender and Dog in the main event.

None of the players invited to the World Division qualifiers are eliminated just yet. The twelve names that remain are now tossed into a Last Chance bracket, which will fill out the remaining two seeds for the world contingent. Meanwhile, the Chinese Division qualifier was also completed as Lin “Lvxiaobu” Yuan and Robin made it out of the double elimination bracket.
