Vo “TaeyeonK” Tung is the last GosuCup champion of 2015. The Vietnamese took on Indonesia player David “Keps” Damawan as the circuit came to a close.

The GosuCup 2015 season started in March and has been a blast of an event. In the 16 tournaments we hosted, we got to know several hundreds of players and determine the best, most deserving players in the region. We’ve handed out more than $8,000 in prizes and a total of 812 World Championship points, making GosuCup the premier open tournament of Southeast Asia.

Before we could close the tournament circuit, we had to find our last champion, and this Saturday, we did. TaeyeonK from Vietnam went through seven rounds of opponents and pinned a 17-5 record in games to become the sixteenth and final champion of GosuCup 2015. The bracket put TaeyeonK’s skill to the test in the final rounds, as zzSeL from Malaysia and Keps from Indonesia gave the Vietnamese a run for his money, bringing their series to full five games.

As champion, TaeyeonK will bank $300 and 20 World Championship points, in prime position for the regional SEA qualifiers for Blizzcon.
