These are the 8 players who survived the Ro16 at DreamHack Valencia

Keeping up with the Hearthstone tournament in the esports capital of Spain is hard, but we have you covered.
After two days of massive group stages, DreamHack Valencia is finally in its playoffs phase. Prominent players like Apostolos “Hawkeye” Karaiskos, Jan “Ekop” Palys, Nuno “Ignite” Pinho and more failed to make it to the top 16, falling to lesser known players, but that doesn’t mean the bracket isn’t worth following.
It were good days for Team Dignitas. The British duo of Lewis “Blackout” Spencer and James “Greensheep” Luo made it out of the group stage and won their respective quarter final matches, potentially looking to end their cold streaks. And while Blackout is to play relatively unknown Spanish player TheFallen, Greensheep has drawn the shortest straw of them all. The young Brit will face two-times DreamHack grand finalist Petar “Gaara” Stevanovic, who shocked out Stanislav Cifka 3-0 in what was the highlight Ro16 match.
The rest of the quarter finalists are also lesser known players, and this is their chance to make a name for themselves. Reigning DH Valencia champion Javier “Thalai” Dominguez is back, joined by Odemian and Weasel from France and Swissking from the Czech Republic.
Both Gaara and Thalai thus have the chance to make history. Should the German reach the end, he would’ve made it to three DreamHack grand finals. For Thalai, this is an opportunity to become the only other player after James “Firebat” Kostesich to have successfully defended an offline title.
