Tonight on “The Innervated” podcast: DreamHacks, brawls and microtransactions

After a short sabbatical, the shrewish podcast and its host return on streams tonight at 21:00 CEST to talk DreamHack Summer, hero portrait micro transactions and all the good and bad that will come with the Tavern Brawl mode.
Just last night, we saw the grand conclusion of one of Hearthstone’s biggest tournaments on western soil to date, the $40,000 DreamHack Summer. Featuring a swiss format and 128 players, the event was a bit different than the standard Hearthstone competition. Did DreamHack do a good job producing and hosting the events? Who were the players that impressed the most? What were the biggest surprises of the tournament?
After we cover all that, we’ll be moving to the hottest topic of the last weeks – the alternative hero portraits and the new game mode Tavern Brawl. With $9,99 for each hero that only offers a slight cosmetic change, isn’t Blizzard charging too much for this commodity? How cool would it be to have a community market for user-created card backs and hero portraits? And for all the coolness that oozes from Tavern Brawl, how is this new mode going to incentivize players to invest time in it?
All that and more at 21:00 CEST as The Innervated goes live on Twitch.tv/GosuTV4. Follow the channel to know when we're on!
