Instructor Razuvious

The first boss of the Military Quarter is Instructor Razuvious, packing the bulky 40 hp on normal and 55 hp on heroic. His hero power is Unbalancing Strike, dealing 3 damage anywhere for 2 mana (normal) or 4 damage for 1 mana (heroic).

The Razuvious fight revolves around the special Mind Control Crystals, through which the Death Knight controls 0/7 Understudy taunters. One he builds a wall of defenders and is well protected from harm, Razuvious uses his hero power and Massive Runeblade to slice and dice his opponents to death. Upon defeating, he grants the player two copies of [card]Dancing Swords[/card].

The key to defeating Razuvious will be finding a way to go through his minions and rush him down before the attacks from the Massive Runeblade can finish you off. Priests with Shadow Word: Pain and decks equipped with [card]Crazed Alchemist[/card] might be the key to dispose of the Understudies effortlessly.

Gothik the Harvester

Boss fight number two is against Gothik the Harvester who seems to have one of the strongest hero powers revealed so far. On normal, Gothik can activate Harvest to draw a card for 2 mana, essentially using a Life Tap without the 2 life drawback. On heroic, however, not only is the hero power cheaper but it will also ramp up Gothik's curve, giving him a mana crystal.

The unique part of this encounter revolves around Gothik's minions and their spectral versions. The Harvester summons three unique minions - Unrelenting Trainee, Warrior and Rider - which not only have decent value stats-wise, but will summon their spectral versions for the player upon Deathrattle. The Spectral Trainees, Warriors and Riders will then drain player's life, each dealing 1 damage to him/her at the start of his/her turn.

One possible way to deal with Gothik's minions is to use silence cards in order to counter the negative effects of aforementioned minions. Other options might include bounce effects ([card]Youthful Brewmaster[/card]), activating the Spectral minions so they can be useful to some extent ([card]Defender of Argus[/card], [card]Flametongue Totem[/card]) or simply outhealing their harmful aura with classes like Warrior or Priest.

Upon defeating Gothik, players will unlock [card]Spectral Knight[/card].

Baron Rivendare

The Horsemen boss fight will acquaint Hearthstone players with Baron Rivendare and his three companions - Lady Blaumeux, Sir Zeliek and Thane Korth'azz. Although Baron Rivendare starts on low life (7 on normal and 14 on heroic), each of the other three Horsemen have the power to make him immune, so players will need to deal with them first before going for Rivendare's face.

In addition to these minions, Rivendare also uses the Runeblade weapon which grows in power after the three Horsemen are dead as well as Mark of the Horsemen to buff his allies and his weapon.

Having 7 health each, it will be difficult for players to take care of the Horsemen with direct damage, so direct removals must be used. [card]Shadow Word: Pain[/card] works for both the normal and heroic versions, the latter having 2/7 stats instead of 1/7. Druids can use the power of [card]Poison Seeds[/card] to turn the Horsemen into trees, while Warriors have an cheap way of [card]Execute[/card]-ing them without spending too many resources. Bounce and silence effects can also be used to bypass Rivendare's defenses. Once the Baron is no longer immune, he will be dead in one or two swings.

Defeating Baron Rivendare will unlock [card]Deathlord[/card] and [card]Baron Rivendare[/card] himself.
