With the prize pool having grown to $550, the sixth edition of DKMR's Invitational is now the best paying event in the showmatch category with the potential of growing even bigger if the DKMR crew extend their reign for another week.

When the DKMR Invitational was announced in early June, it not only featured an improvised King of the Hill format, but also the concept of a growing prize pool. Every week since then, DKMR have been inviting famous players from the Hearthstone scene, giving them the opportunity to win a minimum of $100 grand final prize. All they needed to do is beat two DKMR players in a row.

So far, the invites have been struggling and DKMR remain undefeated on their turf. The players in the first three editions - Wampie, Chakki and Reynad - managed to beat the first round but couldn't quite make it through the second one as they faced who is now DKMR's ultimate rock, Brad.

After three straight wins, Brad "Brad" Christensen was becoming the bain of every player invited to the showmatch but in episodes four and five he ended up fighting his own team-mates. Neither of zRusher and Ignite managed to beat their opponents - Kisstafer and DTwo, respectively - and Brad was forced into team-kill Bo7 series. As of now, the American is still undefeated on DKMR turf.

Brad will be looking to extend his streak to six wins as he prepares for the next edition of the tournament this Friday as Alchemixt will be the invited player. Thanks to his success, the prize pool has now grown to the hefty $550, surpassing other similar events like NESL's King of the Hill and is now the best paying showmatch event in western Hearthstone. If the pool doesn't reset after an Alchemixt win, the pool might grow to as high as $650.

Brad (on picture) will be gunning for a sixth-in-a-row win this Friday against Alchemixt or Kisstafer.
