The inaugural Gosu Cup SEA has concluded, and Dennisgosu of Malaysia has taken the tournament victory after seven elimination bracket rounds. He defeated Alexieishere of Indonesia in the final 3-2.
GosuCup #1 is over, and Dennisgosu saw off 315 other players to win the Tournament, finally besting Alexieishere in the final three games to two. For his troubles Dennis wins $100 and a spot in February's series finals. With the tournament contested in a single elimination bracket there was no room for error, and Dennis won seven matches in a row to secure his victory finishing the tournament with a record of 18-4 in individual games.
In the third place playoff Ferdzm defeated kambras14 3-1, both of the Philippines.
As well as cash and a place in the finals, national pride is at stake. Each nation is awarded points for each player who finishes in the top eight of each weekly cup. Thanks to Dennis' first place, Malaysia currently leads on six points ahead of the Philippines and Indonesia on five.
