BlizzCon qualifiers go to Hammerstein Ballroom and Ericson Globe

The Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC, United States
The offline portions of the final BlizzCon qualifiers for Europe and North America will travel to the lustrous Ericson Globe in Stockholm and Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, respectively. The EU qualifiers are first, coming end of this month.
The final few steps on the road to BlizzCon are near. In under one month time, the world will know which four European and North American players will travel to the 16-man World Championship on November 7th.
Today is the final day of the last call preliminaries for both western regions and one of each will advance to his/her respective final qualifier. The latter will come in a few weeks time, with 130-player tournaments fighting for the coveted four seeds into the world championship.
Each of the final qualifiers are divided in two stages - a 128-man initial round and a 16-player final bracket. Two of those 16 spots have already been taken by the top players in the region, with Kolento and Neirea occupying Europe and Firebat and Hyped taking North America. The dates for the online portion is September 11-13 for NA and September 13-14 for Europe.
After the online rounds are completed and the top 16 are decided, the best players will travel to either the Ericson Globe for Europe (September 26-27), known for having hosted the WCS 2012 Europe Finals for StarCraft 2; or the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC (October 5-6), the hosting venue for events such as Red Bull Battlegrounds. The top four of each bracket will earn a ticket to BlizzCon and the $250,000 championship.
